Why we built noonoo
We are Mira and David - co-founders for ten years, and, between us, parents to six children, ages 1 to 21.
We built a tech company together, and lived every stressful nanny transition along the way. When we moved from San Francisco to New York, one thing was inescapable: parents here will accept almost anything for their children, as long as the children are safe.
We wanted to change that - to bring Silicon Valley's expectations of education, curiosity, and brain development into how New York families think about caregiving.
We don't believe AI will ever replace a nanny. But AI now lets us screen a person more deeply, more honestly, and more carefully than any agency ever could. Noonoo combines both: the warmth of a service built by parents, and the rigor of one built by founders.
We obsessed over every conversation, every reference, every gut feeling at the door. The process we built for our own families is the one we now offer yours.
